Daxxify is the most recent neurotoxin to be approved in the United States and it has been available for about a year for most aesthetic practices. I was fortunate enough to be able to gain early access to Daxxify and we have been offering it to our patients since December, 2022.
This peptide powered neurotoxin has the capability of a longer lasting effect of relaxation. The early studies showed a longevity of up to 6-9 months in some patients. But the question is, what have I actually seen in real life with my patients?
Here’s what I know: Just like all medications, Daxxify has individual responses to longevity. One thing that is evident across the board is how quickly it takes effect. Most patients (myself included) notice relaxation occurring within 24-48 hrs, which is the fastest onset of all of the neurotoxins. Daxxify also has the most positive effect on the skin compared to others. There is a unique, “Daxxify Glow” that is seen with this neurotoxin specifically! These 2 aspects alone have made Daxxi one of the top choices for our patients. An important part of understanding Daxxify is the concept of its dosing being completely unique to itself and needing to be appropriately dosed for each patient.
When dosed appropriately, patients are noticing the effect of Daxxify is double that of their previous neurotoxin, which for many patients, is a significant benefit for them.
Because Daxxify does last longer, the price is slightly higher than its competing neurotoxins, which is an important factor for patients to consider during our consultation. Overall, patients have been very satisfied with Daxxify and it is a great option to have for those who want a longer lasting neurotoxin, along with a secondary benefit of radiant skin!
