Chemical Peel Overview:

What Does a Chemical Peel Treat?

Chemical peels at Citrine MedSpa can help treat a variety of medical conditions. The most common conditions treated are acne, melasma, hyperpigmentation, large pores, photo damage, dullness, and uneven skin tone.

Chemical peels are done in a series of 3 and a physical SPF of 50 must be worn daily due to its sun sensitizing effect.

What to Expect During a Chemical Peel:

Citrine uses the ZO 3 Step Chemical Peel, which is a more aggressive peel applied in office.

A tingling/burning sensation will be felt during the treatment. Peeling will begin approximately 48 hours and will last 5-7 days.

After the chemical peel, the face should not be washed until the next morning or have anything applied to it, including SPF. It is important to not peel off the skin afterwards because this can cause damage to the skin.

Chemical peels offer amazing results with minimal discomfort.
